Teddington RFC – Minis Chairman’s Statement

Dear Rugby Friends

It is with great pride that Teddington RFC - Youth welcomes you to the U9– U11 Middlesex County Festival at Imber Court on Sunday 9th March 2008.

It is without doubt the biggest challenge we have faced in our short history as a Minis Section and I thank Robert Lee our Festival Chairman and the rest of the Committee for all their hard work in pulling this event together. I would also like to thank our Middlesex Minis Chairman, Russell Price, for all his support and Imber Court for allowing us to stage this event at their first class facility. Special thanks must also go to all our Sponsors, without whom we would not be able to run an event of this magnitude.

This Season we have a new format that we hope will give all the players at least three games – yes, “it’s a brave New World”. The A and B Sections will play in a combined Tournament that will enable teams to find their appropriate level in the opening round and then go on to play for six Trophies. We have a separate Tournament for Development Squads so the Festival will not just be about elite County Rugby, but also about involvement for all our Players.

Our microsite contains all the information you’re likely to need on the day so that you can familiarise yourselves in advance. Please ensure that all participants are aware of this important resource.

Please support our Car Parking Marshalls; Pitch Marshalls and Referees – we’ll try and make sure everything runs smoothly, but please “go with the flow” and hopefully everyone, especially the children, will have a great day to remember.

We very much look forward to seeing you all on the day.

Kevin Day
